This event celebrates International Women’s Day (March 8) a day when women worldwide unite in solidarity to honour the struggle for equality, reflect on the past year’s accomplishments, and renew our commitment to meaningful change in our workplaces and in our communities.

Unions have a long and proud history with this special day, and we look forward to celebrating with you at this event!

The event includes breakfast and will feature empowering speakers.

Tickets will be $25 each or $150 for a table of six (6). Space is limited, so make sure to purchase your tickets ASAP.

– Slight right onto Duckworth St for 1.28 km
– Turn left onto Cavendish Square for 73 m
– Slight left onto Military Rd for 382 m
– Turn right onto Bannerman Rd for 114 m and the Destination will be on the left

This year’s theme is centered around the CLC’s “Rise Up for Gender Justice” Campaign. On March 8, women around the world will come together in solidarity to celebrate women’s struggle for equality. It is a time to reflect and take stock of women’s accomplishments in the year gone by and to renew our commitment to ongoing change.

This year, we will be beginning International Women’s Day with Labour Sisters and friends, at an early morning meet and greet to celebrate the day! Please drop by on March 8 for a complimentary breakfast to start International Woman’s Day!

We will accept donations of new personal items (i.e.: toiletries, menstrual hygiene products, socks, etc.). These products will be donated to a local woman’s shelter.
